Owning a Virtual Assistance Company based in Petersfield and working predominantly on my own, the thing I miss the most about corporate life is the interaction and banter with others. As a result I decided to take some advice from a friend and set up a Jelly in the Petersfield area.
If your asking yourself – what on earth is a Jelly? It is an informal co-working event where freelancers and small business owners can bring their laptops, and work, chat and collaborate with others. The UK Jelly website defines co-working as, “Meeting up with like-minded people to work together in a different environment, to exchange help and advice, and maybe come up with a new idea to collaborate on”. It differs from a networking event in that the primary purpose of a Jelly isn’t to find new clients or promote your business, although of course this often happens indirectly.
The Petersfield Jelly will be held on Friday 11th March at 9.30am at Fork Handles Kitchen. It will be free to attend, and we will be able to connect to the cafés WIFI. The only thing that needs to be paid for are food and drink.
Hope to see you there!
